During this period in Local Government and Territory Government, I gained international experience in areas such as:

  • Local Government study tour of the UK in 1998.
  • Change management and benchmarking study tour of the USA in 2002.
  • Attending the 10th anniversary of the Principal for a Day Program in New York, USA in 2003.
  • Delegations to Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong and India promoting inbound investment and sister city relationships between 2002 and 2007.
  • Recruitment drive in Canada and India for professional staff to fill hard to recruit positions in the Northern Territory.
